Jenn’s recommended podcasts about ADHD


Hands up who also listens to Podcasts on the regular, especially while cleaning, commuting, relaxing or procrastinating? Well if you do too, are living with ADHD or would like to know more about it – I thought it would be useful to compile a list of ADHD oriented or related podcasts that I’ve enjoyed and hope you will receive the same value from them as I did!

All the following links have podcasts that can be listened to for free on their websites, they may or may not be available on your favourite podcast streaming services.

Distraction by Dr. Ned Hallowell – An expert and fellow ADHDer talks about distraction, ADHD and is creating a dialogue and community around winning against the distractions of the modern world or using them to your advantage by bridging gaps with connection. Learn about your brain, techniques and other related topics in this podcast.

All the things ADHD by Lee Skallerup Bessette and Aimée Morrison – A podcast by 2 professional woman who have been diagnosed later in life, all the things they have forgotten, sharing their tips and advice and promoting ADHD advocacy.

I have ADHD by Kristen Carder – Presented by another ADHDer Kristen, she talks about debunking stereotypes and educating people about their ADHD through the lens of an ADHD coach. With informative and bite sized educational content for easy listening and ADHD friendly consumption.

ADHD for smart ass women podcast by Tracy Otsuka – This podcast is fast paced and informative. From a peer based perspective Tracy talks about the strengths and challenges of having ADHD and her advice on how to overcome various aspects of living with the disorder. She also has show notes for referencing later.

More attention, less deficit by Dr. Ari Tuckman – Dr. Ari Tuckman is a psychologist and therapist who has a podcast based around a book of the same name ‘More attention, less deficit’. He is also a former board member and current conference committee co-chair for CHADD, the national ADHD advocacy organization in USA. So has plenty of expert knowledge to share on managing your ADHD symptoms and traits.

Taking Control: The ADHD podcast by Nikki Kenzer and Peter Wright – Boasting over 400 episodes, this podcast is everything ADHD and came highly recommended by fellow ADHDers when I was talking about compiling this list. I have currently listened to 2 episodes of my journey in and really enjoying how motivating the advice is in this podcast. Very well articulated.

ADDitude ADHD Experts Podcast by ADDitude magazine – A variety of hosts for this show and an episode for every type of ADHDer (including Neuro-typical parents of ADHD children). Each episode talks about different topics from ADHD experts across the world.

Faster than normal podcast by Peter Shankman – This podcast hosted by Peter Shankman contains a series of interviews with successful adults living with ADHD and other experts in various fields giving advice about managing life with this disorder. Ranging in a variety of topics from Neurotypical perspectives, exercise, ADHD life hacks, parenting and more!
